Terms of service
These terms apply to the incident response, investigation and data recovery services provided by [LEGAL_NAME] (“Recovik”, “we”), registered under [COMPANY_REGISTRATION]. By opening a case or approving a quote, you agree to them.
First call and assessment
Advice during the first call costs nothing and commits you to nothing. A paid engagement starts only when you approve a written quote.
Quotes and approval
After the investigation has scoped the incident, we send a written quote describing the work and its price. Recovery work does not start until you approve it. Any change of scope is agreed in writing before it is carried out.
Results
Recovery depends on the condition of the data and systems we receive. We never guarantee that all data will be recovered. Our commitment is to apply decryption where it is possible and our own reconstruction methods where it is not, and to report exactly what was recovered and what was not.
Your authority
You confirm that you own the systems, accounts and data concerned, or that you are authorised to give us access to them. We may ask for proof and may decline any case where authority is unclear.
Access and confidentiality
We use only the access you grant, for the agreed purpose, and remove it when the case ends. We keep your data and the details of the incident confidential, and sign a non-disclosure agreement on request. Copies made during the case are returned or securely deleted as described in our privacy policy.
Ransom payments
Any decision to pay a ransom is yours. We may advise on it, but we do not pay ransoms or negotiate with attackers on your behalf without your explicit written instruction and legal clearance.
Liability
Our liability in connection with a case is limited to the amount you paid for that case, except where the law does not allow such a limit.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION].
