What it is

Corruption can follow an attack, a failed update, a crashed server or a bad restore. The data is often still there; what is broken is the structure that points to it.

We work on copies, rebuild the internal structures of databases, documents and virtual disks, and verify the result before handing it back.

Signs you need this

  • A database marked suspect, or refusing to start
  • Corrupted tables or pages, failing queries
  • Documents and archives that will not open
  • A virtual machine that will not boot, or a broken snapshot chain
  • A restore from backup that failed

What we do

  1. Copy

Work only on copies, so the original stays untouched.

  2. Repair

Rebuild database pages, indexes, file structures and virtual disk chains.

  3. Verify

Check consistency and compare the result with what you expect to see.

What you get

  • A working database, or its data exported to SQL or CSV
  • Repaired files in their original formats
  • A record of what was repaired and what was lost

What we need from you

  • Copies of the database or files, or access to them
  • The database engine and version
  • Any backups or transaction logs, even damaged ones

Questions

Which databases do you work with?

SQL Server, MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, Oracle and SQLite, among others. Ask us about anything else.

Do you need live access to our servers?

No. Copies of the files are enough, sent through a secure transfer we agree on.
